The Smiddy is situated on the south-east side of the island is approximately 150yds from the pier.
The Smiddy overlooks An Laimhrig where the Shop/ Post Office, Cafe/Bar and Craft Shop are situated and is an ideal spot to watch the many boats and yachts that come and go.
Making its return as a holiday let, the Smiddy offers traditional stone accommodation in one room with an adjacent shower and toilet lean-to outside, to give all the main amenities you might need. There is a wood-burning stove for the cooler nights as well as free WiFi.
Travel back in time in this former Blacksmith’s, and enjoy views across to the mainland and to the pier below where otters and seals can often be spotted in the early hours.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept under control as sheep graze freely on the surrounding land. Particular care must be taken during lambing season which on Eigg lasts into May.
