The Isle of Eigg Trust is a charity. 2024 marked 27 years of community ownership. So much has happened in that time, and yet the community’s ambitions and the stamina to achieve them remain strong. Any donations we receive are used to look after our island and support its community.
Our current priorities are
- Building new affordable housing for rent
- Expanding our thriving tree nursery, which is growing the next generation of trees from native seeds to replant the forestry harvested to supply Eigg’s wood-fuel business
- Expansion of Eigg Electric to enable us to generate more renewable power as the island moves towards carbon net zero by 2030
- Revitalising our crofting community
Whether you’re interested in Eigg’s cultural or natural heritage, or in supporting any of the development projects which help retain and grow our population, any donation you make helps enormously.
If you would like to make a donation you can do so by clicking here or contact us. Thank you.
We have formed Cairdean Eige – Friends of Eigg – for anyone who would like to be kept informed of progress on a more regular basis.
For an annual individual subscription of £15 (£25 family) you will receive a minimum of 2 newsletters per year as well as details of fundraising merchandise and any other relevant information.
