Paddle boards, snorkelling & guided walks

Eigg Guiding Company had a very busy opening week over Easter. The first sunshine of spring saw everyone out, enjoying the water and a sense of adventure.

Experienced guides Kat and Jon offer guided tours by foot or on water to some of Eigg’s best and most beautiful places.

Whether you’re learning to paddle board or snorkel for the first time or have experience but want to explore further, safely, Eigg Guiding Company has something for all ages. And if you’re worried about being cold, don’t. They hire adult and children sized wet suits.

Eigg Guiding Company also hire SUP (stand up paddle boards) snorkels, and run bushcraft camps where you can learn archery, axe throwing, or how to make a fire and cook food that you’ve foraged yourself.

Kat and Jon’s guided walks up An Sgurr and to the clearance villages and neolithic round houses at Gruilin offer truly awe-inspiring views and the chance to learn about Eigg’s geology, legends, flora and fauna. Or, if the tides are right, then walk with them to the Massacre and Cathedral Caves to explore the darker side of the island’s history.

Eigg Guiding Company HQ is in the Green Shed, and very easy to find next to the main An Laimhrig building at Eigg’s pier, right where Eigg’s shop, cafe, craft shop and Eigg Adventures are. Any questions, get in touch through their website.
