The Canny Band

The Canny Band are Sam Mabbett, Michael Biggins (BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2021) and Callum Convoy, A rare fusion of piano, diatonic button accordion and bodhran.  This fine trio won the “Up and Coming Artist of the Year” award at the 2021 MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards.

Da Birlinn

Da Birlinn are a trio of Scotland’s finest traditional musicians, blending the rhythmic strings of Seumas Maclennan with the pipes of Peter Morrison (Peatbog Faeries) and the driving Shetland style of Ross Couper’s fiddle (Peatbog Faeries).

DJ Dolphin Boy (And possibly some special guests!)

Dolphin needs no introduction on Eigg!!  His ingenious blend of remixes and mash-ups that marry funky break-beats with a wide variety of traditional and not-so-traditional samples continues to entertain every year on Eigg.

 

We are celebrating 29 years of community ownership and welcome you to come and join in the celebrations with this mighty talented line up of well established and up and coming trad artists from far and wide. Legendary JaMaTha and DJ Dolphin Boy have played for every anniversary buyout ceilidh from the beginning!

£1 from each ticket sale this year will be donated to the ‘Eigg Primary School – Music Tuition Fund’ to develop the next generation of artists to perform at the buyout!

Free camping available at shell beach.  24hr access available to Tigh Nighe – shower, toilet and washing facilities situated beside An Laimhrig which houses Galmisdale Bay Cafe, Isle of Eigg Shop, the Craft Shop, Eigg Adventures & Eigg Guiding.

Sunday afternoon session open to all at Galmisdale Bay Cafe & Bar with members of all bands – Free Entry.
