The Metamorphosis: Unplugged by Vanishing Point Theatre

Monday 11th May, 2020, 8.00pm, Eigg Community Hall

Following the “great night out” success of The Dark Carnival in 2019, Vanishing Point Theatre return to Eigg in May with:

The Metamorphosis: Unplugged – After the story by Franz Kafka

A theatre show with live music that tells the story of Gregor Samsa, an ordinary man who wakes up one morning to discover he has turned into a giant insect. Keen not to be late for work, unable to leave his bedroom and surrounded by his increasingly confused and neglectful family, Gregor’s story amuses and compels in equal measure. Based on Franz Kafka’s iconic novella and the recent theatre spectacular The Metamorphosis, this new ‘unplugged’ version tells Gregor’s story with just two actors in an intimate, up-close setting. From the same team who created The Dark Carnival: Unplugged in 2019, we will welcome you to Gregor’s world with a free (though not compulsory!) glass of something for everyone.
