The Isle of Eigg Heritage Trust (IEHT) are looking to appoint an enthusiastic individual(s) with a passion for community-led development, to join the team working as a Warm Homes Manager.
The role is focused on reducing fuel poverty on Eigg, working across three main areas:
- Housing quality and energy efficiency
- Woodland management and development
- Developing a circular economy and Fair Work plan for Eigg
Supported by the Scottish Government’s Investing in Communities Fund, the three-year contract can be offered on either a full-time or job share basis at a pro rata salary of £30,750. IEHT acknowledge that one person may not have all of the skills being advertised for and are therefore suggesting the role could be split into 2 (3 days and 2 days pw). However, if there is a particularly strong candidate that demonstrates an interest and capacity to cover both elements of the role, a full-time job will be offered.
A travel allowance is available if the successful candidate(s) is not Eigg based. Visits to Eigg would be expected once a month over the contract period.
Closing date for applications is Monday 29th May, midday.
